Meizu 21 Pro will be the company’s last smartphone, and it looks like the team wants to go out with a bang. According to the latest reports, the phone will have all the bells and whistles one true flagship has – Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16 GB RAM, and the latest 50 MP OV50H sensor by OmniVision, which is a 1”-type platform.
The company also confirmed the 21 Pro will come with a massive under-display fingerprint scanner called mTouch Max.
According to Digital Chat Station, the Meizu 21 Pro will also bring a telephoto camera with a periscope lens – something we haven’t seen in the company’s portfolio. The front panel should be a 1440p screen with thin bezels and a punch hole for the selfie camera, and Meizu will equip the 21 Pro with a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
All these features sound amazing on paper, but they are nothing extraordinary. Meizu CEO recently said the company is pulling out of the smartphone business because devices are getting more and more similar to each other, and the Meizu 21 Pro appears to be just like any other top-tier flagship.
The major question is what will happen with software support, as we know the FlymeOS team will be moved internally to work on AI projects.
