Activision launched its own version of battle royale for smartphones and naturally, it’s called Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. This is a separate game from the well-known Call of Duty: Mobile. The latter provides a single and traditional multiplayer experience, while Warzone focuses on the battle royale genre.
Of course, players can still join standard multiplayer servers, but only when they’ve played a couple of Warzone games first.
Interestingly, progression on weapons, XP points and achievements are shared across all platforms, as long as you log in with your Activision account. This is particularly convenient if you often switch between PC, console and your smartphone.
You can play the game using the touch controllers on your screen or pair your Android/iOS device with a compatible controller. The Backbone One is one option and the company even released a special edition to celebrate the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile launch.
The standard Xbox Wireless Controller or the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller are both viable options too. Additionally, the game supports the wireless Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense and PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controllers as well.
