Starting with a quick unboxing, the phone comes in an all-black packaging which includes the phone along with a 67W charger and data cable. You also get a hard clear case and a pre-applied screen protector.

The unit we have here is the Shadow Black variant, which features smooth, frosted glass on the back. The Cruise Blue also features a two-tone textured glass but the Matcha Green variant has a vegan leather back with an inset glass panel that has a unique texture for every unit. The phone feels remarkably thin in hand thanks to a thin metal frame and quad-curved glass on the front and back.

As for the much-touted camera features, the Xiaomi 14 Civi has triple cameras on the back consisting of a 50MP primary, 50MP 2x telephoto, and 12MP ultra-wide. On the front are not one but two 32MP cameras, one of which is an ultra-wide. All three cameras on the back can do 4K 60fps video recording while the front cameras are limited to 4K 30fps.

Here are some samples from the main rear camera.

Finally, it’s the battery. The phone has a 4700mAh unit which supports the aforementioned 67W of charging. Xiaomi doesn’t really make any claims regarding the battery life or charging speed of the device, so it would be interesting to check out. It’s definitely on the smaller side compared to the direct competition, the OnePlus 12R, which has a 5500mAh unit and even faster 100W charging.

But that’s going to do it for now. Check back later for the review.
