A couple of weeks ago Samsung announced two rugged devices – the Xcover7 phone and the Tab Active5 slate. However, pricing was not revealed at the time, so we had to wait until now to find out.
By the looks of it, only the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 is coming to the US. It will be available in the first quarter (January-March) with prices starting at $550. This is presumably for the LTE version, there should be a 5G model as well.
In the UK, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover7 is already available through the Samsung Business page for £350. The tablet (5G variant) is marked as “coming soon” and will cost £510.

In Germany, the Xcover7 will cost €360, while the Tab Active5 will go for €480 for a Wi-Fi only slate and €580 for a 5G variant. Based on the press release, these should have been available already (it says “mid-January”), but we’re not seeing them on the rugged section of the Samsung Business page.
We also tried other EU countries (France, Italy, Spain, etc.) with similar success. The French press release specifically calls out January 24 as the launch date (the posts for other countries are less specific), so you might want to have a look again tomorrow.
