Apple Music Classical is now available in six markets in Asia – Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The announcement urges users to “pre-order”, meaning the actual availability of the service will happen at a later stage.

The service is available for free to all Apple Music subscribers but works with a standalone app. It has over 5 million classical tracks in Hi-Res lossless audio.

The Classical app has exclusive content and an improved interface that provides info on the work name, orchestra, conductor, contributing artists, and even the year of recording. There are also unique artworks for some pieces, 700 curated playlists from Apple Music’s own editors, and the Browse tab is designed differently than the regular Apple Music app.
