You survived Valentine’s Day and made it to the weekend. Welcome. Myrtle Avenue hosts their restaurant “week” beginning Friday through February 26. Also Friday: The Bell House will hold a “Coming to America” drinking game and a Y2K dance party and costume contest comes to The Brooklyn Monarch.
Saturday brings England’s favorite adult bingo game, Bongo’s Bingo, to The Music Hall of Williamsburg. The Spin Doctors headline The Brooklyn Bowl, and a queer wrestling-themed variety show takes over Haven Boxing.
Because Monday is a federal holiday, there are a bunch of late-night offerings on Sunday including: a Lunar New Year party featuring Zedd, a Sailor Moon Rave, a late-night album release party for Chromeo at Public Records, and an all-night Spring Festival at Avant Gardner.

Myrtle Avenue Restaurant Week

Myrtle Avenue Restaurant Week kicks off today with 15 participating restaurants in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill. Each restaurant offers a three-course, sit-down meal at price points to meet every budget. Sample cuisines from Cambodia to Mexico, Italy to Nepal, and everywhere in between. Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet presents ‘Remembering’

“Remembering” is an annual program celebrating Black History at BAM. Inspired by The MAAFA Suite – which commemorates the middle passage journey of African people bound for enslavement in the Americas – “Remembering” sets the teachings of Bishop Rev. Dr. Johnny Ray Youngblood set to music by John Williams, Philip Hamilton, and BeBe Winans. 321 Ashland Place. Tickets $40 to $100.
The Dumbo Projection Project: Voyeurism

The Dumbo Projection Project is a neighborhood-wide, outdoor video art exhibition projected onto the Manhattan Bridge — on both the Pearl Street and Adams Street sides — and along the BQE in Susan Smith McKinney Steward Park. The current projection plays off New Yorkers’ love of voyeurism, with chaotic and poetic works presenting the rhythm and patterns of everyday life, exploring themes of anonymity, homemaking, and intersectionality. A Drinking Game NYC: ‘Coming to America’
8 p.m.
Break out your Soul Glo and get your princely robes ready. The Movement Theatre Company and ADGNYC present a live-staged, drunken reenactment of Eddie Murphy’s classic ’80s comedy “Coming to America.” Join the cast at The Bell House as they travel to Zamunda and then back to New York City again, encountering rude taxi drivers, barbers, fast-food robbers and queens-to-be. Y2K Party and Costume Contest

Get ready to party like it’s the naughty aughts. Join The Brooklyn Monarch for the ultimate Y2K bash featuring a costume contest and all your favorite throwback hits. Bongo’s Bingo

Bongo’s Bingo isn’t your grandma’s bingo. The Music Hall of Williamsburg is hosting England’s favorite crazy mix of traditional bingo, dance-offs, rave intervals, audience participation and countless magical moments. Bongo’s Bingo is a wild extravaganza and a night of pure nostalgic escapism, with the chance to win prizes from giant pink unicorns to karaoke machines. 66 N 6th Street.
Spin Doctors at Brooklyn Bowl

Ice Skating at Brooklyn Bridge Park
Open through March 1
The first-ever ice rink beneath the Brooklyn Bridge is open to the public until March. Glide offers scenic views of Manhattan, food and drink selections, and a new spot for ice skating this winter. Black Future Festival: We Da People

Join The Brooklyn Children’s Museum for a week of reflection and future-forward fun inspired by the national celebration of the African Diaspora and Black History Month. Monday is a holiday so dance late into the night at Chromeo’s album release party at Public Records.
